Community-Based Activities

Rata High School/ Adult Transition Program continues to expand its community Community Based Instruction program for all students. Community Based Instruction is not just a field trip, it could also be on campus working in RATA MART, different jobs around campus, and in classroom instruction where students life long skills are worked on. When we go off campus, we will be taking what we have learned on campus and bridge it to the community, skills that are required to shop, communicate, and act appropriately in the community. When it is your child’s turn to work on their skills out in the community, be sure to send them to school with the appropriate materials ready to expand on their skills learned in the classroom. Your students teacher will send home information on what your student might need.
